One of the gems of the Clyde Estuary, the Isle of Bute has an extraordinary and varied landscape, secluded quiet sandy bays with colonies of seals to craggy uplands, Bute is a haven for walking, cycling, fishing and wildlife with the most beautiful views and seascapes. When visiting Bute don`t miss out on a visit to Mount Stuart House, Britains most astounding and eccentric Victorian Gothic mansion, a feat of Victorian engineering. Or cruise around the island through the world renowned Kyles of Bute, the narrow sea passage between Bute and the Cowal peninsula. Wonderful scenery, good shelter and pretty villages with pubs and hotels with moorings. Passaging through the Kyles is a great way to or from Loch Fyne.
